Well, no offence, but do you really think that I would make such an effort to make the car as authentic as this (wheels, stickers, even rust), and then mess it all up by adding a huge, unrealistic exhaust???

Seriously, I wouldn't! This exhaust is probably one of the most common performance exhaust for old VW's. It's called "stinger" and every drag-racing VW had them back in the 60's. It's basically a straight tube with no sound dampening whatsoever.

I might come of a bit hars, but I've spendt the last week explaining to the guys at smcars that the wheels I've made are actually rare, authentic aftermarket parts. Just trust me, I know my aircooled VW stuff

Attached is a picture og the Muppet Racer, a great replica of a 60's gasser. There you can see the stinger in all it's glory...

PS. There are some poly errors on my stinger though. Will fix it later...

Dude i was'nt questioning the authenticity of the exhsaust, I'm well aware of the "stinger" as well, it's a nice piece, just the size seemed a little out of proportion to me. Should be smaller in diamater and longer in length IMO. Hope this clears up what i meant.

Stop chasing the stars; just sit down and watch TV.

Yeah, I agree with you there. But it's not finished yet. Hence "beta release" There one on muppet racer is rare though. The more common once are shorter and have a wider diameter. I'll shrink mine a little bit. I've also modelled a "fat boy" style muffler....
