60's VW T2 single-cab

Hi guys. I've lurked around here for a while and figured it was about time I post some of my work. I'm mostly creating cars for Racer, and this will be my fourth scratch made car.

It's a 1967 VW T2, made with zmodeler. I love aircooled VW's, and allthough it's not a very exiting car to drive in a game, it will be a cool contrast to all the exotic supercars. I'm going to give this car a really cool rat-look. Slammed to the ground and lots of rust

Nah, Porsche engines are hyped. This baby will have a 2332 T1 engine with Dual 48IDA Weber's. Should be about 200bhp then. Still no handling whatsoever though...

I never seem to get why people use that many polies for flat surfaces.. :roll:
Nice shape, that's for sure though!

It's been optimised a little polywise now, but it's also a fact that allthough it looks quite straight, there's hardly a flat surface on this car. Also, it helps a lot in making reflections look better ingame...

Mapping is done now, and I've started the fun part - texturing

I've also decided to make an earlier version than '67 so it's probably going to be somewhere between '61-'64...

More texturing, BRM wheels, EMPI GT steering wheel and some other stuff. Next to do is a huge exhaust and more texturing...
