Concept Sports Truck Racing version.(Composition Renders)

Not suicide, as i said earlier please steer away from asain or "riced out" style cars. To me this concept is incorparating classic with future, i dont think it falls under any of today's categories of truck. I really like it. I dont know why people dont like the little updates. I think it shows progress and the more comments you get on a little update, to me, gives more ambition to finish and perfect a model Update however you please, it works on every other CG/GFX forum (and most other forums members have much better results than members here maybe from the amount of positive feedback)

Suicide doors are'nt ricer, they were originally used on rolls-royce and luxury cars. Supposed to make entering a vehicle more graceful.
Personally i think he should go for minivan sliding doors.

I absolutly agree with WhtMk3Drvr about the updates though. When a car is crafted detail by detail it turns out better. I reallly don't know what the problem is with the number of posts he has.

Thanx for the comments/suggestions guy's.
I'm still thinking about what kind of doors to use. My friend suggested i split the door in two parts,
and try something with that. So this is what i came up with quickly, if i were to go with this,
the doors would get smaller, since right now they are just body parts. Obviously they would have depth and all the good stuff.

while i was thinking about the doors, i created a new material, i think it's better,but let me know what you guy's think. Old one is on the right.

I told my friend he was an idiot, i probably gonna make normal doors.

That was my friends idea, but you could easily make it work with a swivel hinge or something like that. :wink:


EDIT: I think that normal and suicide style doors will not work on my car for a number of reasons. so therefore it will have some sort of gullwing, scissor door or maybe something new altoghter.

i think your paint doesnt have any fresnel.
plus car paint gets a little bit blurry if you look at it straight

My friend insited i make an animation to show how cool it would look, so here it is.
Please tell me what you guy's think of these doors. This video was done quickly so please ignore the quality.
Also the doors shapes do not reflect the actual door"s i'd be using on the real model.

On another note, I think its a must the doorhandles are shaved and there is a keyless entry system. If it isnt keyless then the person opening the door has the chance of being decapetated or having his keys get stuck up in the air...To get a feel of height on the car, could you quickly pchop a person into a render? keep up the great work

WhtMk3Drvr: The final placement of the hinges has'nt been decided, but i'll try your's out. And of course the car
will have self-rising doors, keyless entry. Also about the scale, hope this picture helps you out.
The guy should be standing on the same ground plane as the cars, but he is 3d.

I'll try to get another animation done today with the final configuration.

Midget's should'nt buy sports trucks.
The doors are automatic so all you need to do is push a button.
Here is the new animaton i made, a little longer, and also has the proper doors. Hope you guy's like it.

Here is the update i was talking about.
Finished the body, all cutlines handles, and other details. Also created new wheels and brakes for the car.
No renderings yet of the brake, no time. Also put the suspension into the car, for first time ever, actually fit. :lol:
Total poly count is around 2.1 million. Hopefully soon will post a few more renders to show all i have done.

Have started planning and sketching out the interior, engine and front cargo area.

i think the hood seem should go between the headlight and go down around the bottom of the grill, its just too small for a hood, other than that it looks like excellent work.
