Slowly moving along with this Audi A6 2005.

Has anyone else had a go at this model Audi?

Thats a pretty good model. I admire that thinking of yours- made a low poly model then modelling the high poly one around it?

I only just started the roof.
I don't make a low res, I just start off with a plane surface and move it around but due to the unique shape of that panel (it goes from under the door, to the back and then roof) I modeled the rouhg by extruding an edge.
...so in a way I do start with a low res and refine it.

is the border of the grille supposed to be sticking out so much?

sharpen your seams a bit, and it will look better, methinks
