Looks good!
I've never looked at Z modeler myself and I'm interested why people think Z modeler is the best program for low poly work? Surely it cant beat the power of 3ds max, lightwave or maya... Nice texturing on the nissan too btw... |

Well, I'm not going to let this thread turn into a "what 3d software is best" discussion, but here's the thing.
Zmodeler is nowhere near the big programs in terms of tools and power. But it does have everything you need to create a decent low-poly game model. In zmodeler, you can actually go straight for a car, and learn the rest as you go along. It's very simple, and doesn't scare you away. It's probably not the best program for making low-poly models, but it's definately very good. Zmodeler keep 3D modelling simple, and I like that. To further underline my point I attach a screenie of my first ever 3D model. Made for, and rendered in, Racer. Zmodeler only... |

The livery on that screenie is just a low red one. I made it quickly from the blueprints with the decals. I will make everything from scratch later.
First I need to finish the basic texturing with shading and details. Then I'll make the livery in high res ![]() Here are some screenies with some of the basic shading in place. Rear lights are hand drawn temp's, as good pics are hard to find ![]() |
