Modified Viper GTS, first project

Hi,

I'm Dave, i'm from the Netherlands, 'semi-' new to modelling and i'd like to share my first project with you!

I'm trying to create a Dodge Viper GTS (i'm using SMCars' '98 GTS blueprint, but it seems to be a '93 GTS Concept), with some exteriour modifications such as a modest wide-body kit, replaced rims and replaced tires.

Please, take a look at my attempt and tell me what you think of it. I'm open for errors i've made !

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

Dennis,

You're right, it indeed is a bit too early. I apologize.

Though i work slow, i'm hoping to start and finish the rest of the cars' side. That should be enough!

Thanks for reminding me,

Dave.

hey Dave

Nice project!
If you want, I can dig up an older Zmodeler tutorial, where creating cars from scratch is explained.

A short description:
The easiest method to start with is like this:

-------------------
-------------------
-------------------

You create a flat surface on the side, with "lines" where you want specific curves or something. You can drag the outer verts along the Z-axis to fit a specific spot on the wheel-case.

Then you go to the front view, and bend each line into the shape you want. Again: only move on the X-axis!!

This way you will be able to create a fast profile for you car, with a clean mesh.
