If im not mistaking i believe it is just because they want the decals to look the same on both side (alignment and stuff). see attached pics.

pls correct if im totally wrong.

Great work there, that is pretty wierd , kind of crazy way to get symmetric lines Id prefer having legibility on both sides

thats true, they are too rounded, though i could spot also other unaccure things too.
