Sorry for the lack of progress. School started again, so I haven't had much spare time.

I've completed most of the rear bumper, and fixed some problems.

Does anybody know how to get rid of those dark spots highlighted in the second pic?

increase GI parmeters. As you're on Vray, try to use the High or Very High GI preset.

Upping the GI parameters did greatly improve the render, but when a 20 min render turns into a 2 hour render, there has to be a compromise. I will play with the settings to try and find a good balance.

looks really great so far

only a small accuracy thing with the "lip" that extends from the bottom of the bumper. you have it with a vertical part to it, when its actually just smooth from that seam to the edge. its hard to really explain it, but here's a couple high res ref pics of it so maybe you'll get the idea.
