First attempt at a car

Hi all, I've been inspired by all the great work I've seen here and I'm working on the 71ish Challenger and I have a question.

I'm not sure how to get the crisp edge in the picture below. I new to modeling in Max. I started with a plane and just extruded from there. At the edge it's just an angle.

Anything will help. Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean.
And have you followed any tuts yet?

Yeah, I'm following the fiat tut, which is very good.

I'm going to try the Box car tut next.

Thanks!

Select the edge, and chamfer with 0.1

If you are modelling in Editable polies, select the edge you want to sharpen, then change it crease value, 0 no crease, 1 heavy crease.

Thanks for the help!

I'm really making better headway with the Box Modeling Tutorial from LionTR @ http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=156460.

If anyone is looking for the PDF read through the tutorial. About half way one of the people replying put it all together and posted a link.

I'm not sure how far you got into this tutorial but your car needs a lot more work
Also, experient a little with lighting and materials for some sharper renders.

It does kinda suck huh?!

I've only got about an hour a night, if that, so I've been taking it slow with the tut and all. But hey it is a WIP, right!

Thanks!
