Actually to me it looks really close to copper. Just a little fiddling with the spec levels and I think you would have an excellent copper mat.
Car is lookin great so far, keep it up. Wanted to comment on the engine renders as well. The chrome looks excellent but I think it would look a bit better if you removed the yellow tinge. ![]() |

Because of time pressure at school, I haven't been able to do a lot of work on the 917 the last weeks... but expect more soon ![]() Cynical Saint: good idea Looking at it now, I don't like the yellow stuff as well, but it's only temporary so please don't feel bad about it, since it will get realistic materials later on.edit: I decided to do what Chris (Icekid84) said: finish the front shape ![]() I think it looks much better with a front, even tho' it's not perfect yet, since this was just a 1-minute job... but the shape of the new front is about 80% right, at the moment. I hope you guys like it. Details will be there sooner or later :twisted: as you can see in the wireframe-render, it still needs some cleaning up, but this will be done soon ![]() |

whoa, I was in flipmode for a few seconds....
while uninstalling a max-plugin I didn't use anymore, my SCENES folder got deleted for some reason... My most recent stuff was gone, but luckily I could undelete I just burned all my files to the backup-disk ![]() |

tomorrow, a day off again ![]() so much time to add details to the main body again. I put my work on the engine on pause for a week, so this week will be body week again! Here's some new renders again, trying out various possibilities of the Vray renderer ![]() (and yes, I know about the bug in front of the rear wheel arch... it's my personal mistake, which I will fix asap ops: ) |
