Here is the beginning if my 32 Ford. I plan on modeling the entire vehicle from gorund up!

No, i figured that since this is a Hot Rod, the frame will need strong support. Thanks for the compliments though!

It's better now. If I was doing this I would have made the bars cross like "X".
Because you still have a parallelogram (four-sided figure), but what you need is a triangulated structure.

If you want more strength, and something a little different, use a Drive shaft tube down the middle of the chassis.
