Majestic: I'm not sure. Stock or one, that are optional for Turbo (I think that they are from GT2 or GT3 - see the pic). As for the tire, i don't have a clue, i hadn't time to make some resarch, and find out, what tires are (were?) mounted to the 996 Turbo, so If anyone can help, I would be grateful.
I won't model the tire thread, I want to use displacement mapping for it, and bump mapping for a side - but I need refpics for this...

Very small update. Still some places need work (i.e. side of the roof), if you can spot something wrong, please tell me.

I've found intresting site today, with many very uncommon refpics of Porsche: http://www.911pcar.com. You can find there pictures of parts of the car (interior, exterior, engine). The pictures doesn't have good quality, but still they can be very helpful. I hope that this will help somebody

Hm... I can't say that it's fantastic or awoseme  Just not bad. I think, 250 ths polys only for a body are too many. And your parting lines look too narrow. So wish you Marqus good luck

Thanks for comments.

MAXXX: About the polycount: it's hi-poly modeling, so I don't put so much attention to it. I saw few models that were above 2M polys, so if I end with about 1M, it will be (IMHO) ok.
I will check again the parting lines, thanks for spotting this.

Marqus: Porsche 911 Turbo uses Bridgestone Expedia S02 tyres IIRC (like the old GT3)

Thanks CPD . I thought that they are using Pirelli P Zero Assimetrico, but now I see, I was wrong.

it's beautiful!
I always think porshe is the kind of car very hard to model because the shape doesn't have many obvious edges and you should adjust the point very carefully
keep it up,man!

cumquat4: About 997... - NO WAY!! IMHO the front blinkers are so ugly... I like 996's front much more.

revelli: I know that there are many triangels, but sometimes it's easier (to me) to smooth the surface with triangle in it, then make quad only mesh.

Thanks for comments, but can somebody tell me, why am I a plastic dashtrim?

Very nice work on the car, high polycount is never a problem! I can't see
anything that anyone else has missed, so let this post stand as a compliment!

I have to agree that plastic dashtrim seems a little unfair (I mean, the real
n00bs get "supertech soundsystem". Doesn't that sound cooler?). But dont'
feel alone! I'm one too (presumably in different cars )
EDIT: Seems since yesterday i've been upgraded: I'm now aluminium!
