2005 Charger

My next project.

Making a 2005 Dodge Charger with some changes to the styling. This first and most obvious being the removal of those two extra doors.

I also added the side and hood scoop reliefs reminiscent of those seen on the '69 Charger.

And then the back 1/3 of the car is mostly the same as the Chrysler 300, although it does feature the downward cut into the side as seen on the Charger. All this while maintaining the wheelbase of 120". If I can do it, I think Dodge can.

This will also be my first attempt at 3d hood, door, and body lines.

Since it isn't the same as the real one, I made my own print using a Magnum print, a 300 print, and a pic of the Charger.

lol not making the goofy 4 door huh? Well the car looks great, ( as it can be) Great modeling but I hate the design in real life even if you make it 2 door

yeah... that new "box" shape trend in US car design is really bad... personally i would say that best US cars haves been done in late 20's & 60's

lol how true, before all the craze was... " AERODYNAMICS!!" now its like all that is out the window and it doesnt matter anymore. Example... The 96-98 Taurus, have one in real life and well its a sucky car to begin with but it was aerodynamic none the less and now you look at the car that replaced the Taurus the Ford 500 or whatever that new 4 door sedan they have out now. Ford 150 is another example

yeah, ford australia are doing the same thing, the Falcon XR-8 is way to boxy for my taste. Now, the clean lines of a commodore or monaro on the other hand (waits to find out that marvin's favourite car is XR-8 and thinks that Monaro looks like a "sucked caramel" to use the endearing words of a US journo )

Oh, yeah and the WIP, I like it, it takes that awful new design and turns it better (it's a US car, so its against my religion to call it good)

This car is coming to Australia to be the pace car for for the V8 Supercars, starting in Adelaide, (as the mebourne track is crap, and they dont want to be seen on it ).
Just imagine this car leading the field around the track, all the Fords right behind it, followed all ths "sucked camels", after Rick Kelly wiped out some poor innocent soul.

The model looks awesome, the new Australian Magna (Galant) follows the new brick design to.

You know what you should do for this to kind of treat it like an old 40s car thats been modfiied. Ok lets see if I can get my point accross.. I think it has a differentt than chopping because with chopping its just bringing the window height down. Anyhow you shoudl chop the frame accross and make it not lookso tall which really hurts any potential it has at being cool imo. Here is a picture.

EDIT well this turned out to be kind of fun, I wrote this message an hour or so ago and an hour later after trying to make the charger appealing to me I came up with this.

nice design Ice! The rear only looks a little bit like a Jaguar... but that doesn't matter.
Check out my ugly design for the new Charger

Finally had time to go back and work on this some more. Got most of the exterior pretty much done save for details. I still need to to the head lights and tail lights.

Needs normals work as well. :?
