thats all... id show a pic of the wheel wires but redoing them as those were not very accurate.and redoing the mirrors as they were too high of a poly count and were not accurate poly count atm without the mirrors and rims = about 9500 triangles... |

Dennispls -- erm... you mean without the texture (blue one) Icekid84 -- LOL! hmmm...best way to tell if you car is going to be smooth, make it flat shaded and turn on skylight... if it looks like its flatshaded it is not good enough LOL and yes, easier way would be not to turn on flatshade but i like to be difficult anyhow... i only did flatshade on those because i didnt have any smoothing groups done :twisted: cumquat4 -- LOL! mmm.... not exactly.... then again im a perfectionist ops: there are 3 things that really stand out to me that is wrong... 1st-front fender is not curved right, 2nd - rear panel has a bug spot that i forgot to fix, 2rd - i dont think the rear bumper connections the the rear panel like it should O.o... other than that i doubt the seats are right as i had no pictures of them.... and ill be redoing the windshield wiper blades as it looks sad :roll: and for all who had no noticed hock: the tail lights are modeled.... figured would look more nice in the game emblems are modeled also but i may just render my modeled emblem and use it as the texture... hate to waste 1200triangles per emblem(3 on the car)i actually attempted this car right before this one.... spent 8 hours on it and it looked like a bloated corvette... so got some crit from another forum and they said to work on the shape... so i got diff set of blueprints from here and voila, btw one of you all's blueprints are massivly off.... unless you were meaning to make it look like a bloated corvette :wink: id show you the renders of it but dont want people to think i went from the model above to the bloated corvette model. and yes, i know, i type too much. :x anyhow, i should get to working on this fine italian machinery i will post updates as i get there..... and also........ should i model the dash instead of texture it? im not liking how the dash is turning out with just texture(which is the same reason i modeled the tail lights).ok im done for now, not typing a big whole paragraph after this one.... tend to do that cause i think of stuff as im typing... so anyhow ~off to 3dsmax5) be back in a while to update.. |

ok... smoothed out some parts of this and added some design features
if there was no chamfering in 3dsmax id get no where in modeling cars LOL!... anyhow... i did it in white so it is easier to see ![]() also, waiting for pictures from someone that has the coupe version of the maserati... that is why i havnt textured a few more things ![]() EDIT*smoothed out hte part on the hood and triangle count is exactly 14685 ... i guess i guessed wrong, thought last time i looked at it it was a hair under 9500triangles... well i guess if i keep the triangle count under 20k it should be fine LOL i hope... heard about someone putting a 40,000poly car i n racer. and ive used it and not effect my experience much... just took away like 5-10fps ![]() |

okie, heres 2 renders with the newly smoothed out and smoothing grouped one.... its not as fancy as the silver as i didnt add any specular to the car
![]() ill be working on the texture more as im not happy with the front of the car at all the rear texturesim happy with but the onlything on the front im happy with is the blinker light O.o so it will get some revamping |

added new wheels and changed hood texture
(render012.jpg) i still dont think i like the wheels thoughbtw, i know the hood is too small i think... ill fix it in a few... and already fixed the dash... was too far forward ![]() |
