Hi Rain Knight...I'm not taking your reply totally serious because I know your model is just overall smoother and better modelled.

But I'm glad you're happy to see some modellers getting better because of your tutorial here on scratch made cars...

I still recommend every rhino user (newbie or maybe even more advanced users) to have a look at your tutorial...It's by far the most detailed and user friendly tutorial I've ever seen...

Rain Knight, one question...could you somehow help me or give me a direction how to make the materials for the head- and backlights? Maybe a short explanation or a link to a site where it is described how to do this...

I don't even know how to make the glass that's in front of the lights...If anyone else knows...I'm eager to hear...

Also the carglass material is a big mistery for me... any ideas anyone...?

Thanks in advance and more C&C is very welcome!

Oh almost forgot...The model was ofcourse made in Rhino and I exported it in iges format (only the last 5 clay renders)...
The thingies under the door (cannot come up with the english name, sideskirts maybe?) aren't perfect...
I will adjust those someday but that's not a great deal of work.
Still very eager to hear about some answers on my questions in my last post...

well tillart, for the material i'm doing my renders in Vray, so with the standard material i don't know if i can help....(what a shame don't you think ??)

for the glass, a material with 30 opacity and a fresnel reflection.
for the light objets, some white material with high reflections. For the bulb you can use the same but with less reflection and a grey diffuse.

DrumBoping, this thing exist because the rail curve was not build correctly. The match command is very usefull to change curbe near end to keep the same tangency or curvature as the curve besides.

Well here's a first material test for some thingies...not by far satisfied but thought I'd just upload the pic for anyone interested...

Used the studio hdri by World's Only Hope for the test...I'm thinking about making a scene for this car because although it's not that good it's still the most detailed work I've ever done in 3d.

Have to begin with the rim en wheel one day soon enough...Still I'm searching for materials for my lights and car glass...anyone knows?

To Rain Knight: I DO have vray but I'm no good at it so I didn't yet use it for this car...you said your materials for glass and lights are vray...do you maybe have a link to a site which explains making these materials so I can do a little testing on my objects...? Thanks

C&C please
