Concept Sprts car : Second car modelling attempt
Very nice concept! The only thing that bothers me is the front tires stick out too far from the fender. Other than that everything looks awesome.

If u like ur back end this way you sould leave it like this but I gotta say...the front end is very edgy and the back is so round like that, I don't think it really fits together, but that doesn't make it look bad or something  |

The curve of the taillights, the rims, and the exhaust pipes are what make it seem "cartoonish" to me. Like someone else said, the 'smiling' just looks odd. The back almost isn't sleek, its bends are too smooth or something. And I've never seen anyone run those rims except in video games and stuff :?
The front looks very furious and awesome ![]() Keep up the great work, I could never invent a car like that! |

Concept Sprts car : Second car modelling attempt
it looks like a cartoon simply because of the proportions. i doubt anyone can fit in the car, the door doesn't look possible to open. i think if you lengthen the wheelbase to a more realistic proportion (which will help make the width not so extreme) it will help a lot. what you really should do is find a car similar to what you are trying to capture and use the blueprints of that vehicle to guide your cars hard points. the other thing is your renders are from extreme angles with big FOV making the car very dynamic (which is good) but it also blows out the proportions, which gives it a cartoony feel. i dont think its a matter of round or hard shapes, just the proportions of the parts sitting together. a non extreme sideview would be nice to see to check.
most sports cars have 2.5 wheel wells inbetween, about 2 wheels tall, a wheel in front, and a wheel at the rear. hope this helps. ![]() ![]() i got 2 spoon motors and a microphone... |

Thanks, ill work on it a bit and give some different render angles to display the proportions better
My reference car was a corvette 1969 stingray for the basic shape I see what u guys are saying about the rear being cartoonish now... will improve it! Im gonna change the rims and the exhaust, these are just tempory till i can think of better ones ![]() |
