Ferrari 348tb - UPDATE 22th March 2005 - brake disc+caliper

Hi all, i don't know if you guys here are interested in Zmod cars, but... i can try it.

Here's what i did so far(click on thumbnails to see full-sized pics):

~18000 polygons for everything you see. Some parts(bodylines, brakes, interior, etc.) and textures are missing, something needs to be improved..., but i think you can see already what you can expect from me

BTW, the pics are from Zmodeler, i don't know how to use any rendering program... :?

very nice job this is a pretty rare Ferrari to see modeled, and yours looks accurate at a first glance. can't wait to see it finished up.

Ferrari 348tb - UPDATE 22th March 2005 - brake disc+caliper

@ML
Thanks for offer, but i already promised to NFS Owner that he can render it.

@kberkel
I can do a lot more, but i must keep it down, because this car is aimed for games, so i must keep it under 30.000 polygons for whole car.

@f50
Yeah, it's rare, that's why i decided to do it.
BTW, all blueprints of F348 are inaccurate, so it's pretty hard to do it accurate. Well, i'm glad that i can model some parts(engine hood, mirrors, headlights, rims...) just by watching photos

Here's an update on the wheels: tread texture, brake disc and caliper.
I could not find good pics of F348's brakes set, so i made a brembo one. As you can see on the middle of brake disc, the texture is uncuted line and makes it look like there are two thin discs - will fix it later.

Polycounts:
Brake Disc: 198
Brake Caliper: 498
Tire: 512
Rim: 1212

The tire-tread texture(Goodyear Eagle II) is made by Endo (www.gtapex.com).

Great work Westblade, and I'm glad you came over to show your work, All models are appreciated here ( high poly or low poly) Youve really turned into a great modeler, Ive said this before at NFScars, but its true, Doing the 348 Shows that, and not trusting in blueprints but knowing they were wrong and going it out with pictures ,really have respect from me Thats how I did my F355, which btw I think you'll murder if you convert your 348 over lol.

ahh.. guess I was a bit late to ask you

the texturing on the caliper makes it look even more 3D.. not to mention endo's texture as well.. nice use of textures :wink:

Looks lovely! hock: Grungy Harry like modeling! Gotta love it, so clean, so detailed, and still not completely off the scale polycount! I am impressed! Wished i could do so clean stuff like you. ops: Havent really been able to keep track on your modeling since i aint at NFScars anymore. :?
