mazda RX-8 Tuned

hi there.. A long time ago i posted something here.

I was looking around for something to model, and i found some old blueprints i had on my computer, so i decided to model a mazda rx8.

I have been modeling this car for 4 days now, and finally I'm quite pleased with the result..

There is some bugs "here and there", especially on the door, but i cant make it right now, if i try, i will just make it even worse..

Dont bother about that the parts are'nt as in a real rx8, because this is a tuned version..

Tell me what you think..

hey, looks pretty nice, one thing i have to say though is that it seems to narrow, make it wider then it would look perfect

hehe thanks..

You're not the only one who says it's norrow, bit it matches the blueprints, so it is'nt.. But i agree, it looks norrow, especially on the back..

The doors do fit the blueprints as well... It might be the blueprints that's off, or maybe ma camera FoV, i dont know =)

And the headlights, yes they are very off =) I did wrong when i was modeling it, but after that i decided to make a tuned version, so lets pretend that we switched the lights, okey? Hehe..

As i said before, YES THE HEADLIGHT IS WRONG ... i know... That was because i did wrong in the modeling and I could'nt fix it, I'm not a god in max.. And when you say its very auncurate, if you mean the whole car, youre so off, or my blueprints is, the rest of the car matches the blueprints, except the back (tuned), the fron (tuned), and the headlights.. A lot of people say the car is to norrow, they're wrong..

And just one more thing, this is not a perfect car, i know..

This is the first car i ever finished, and its the second car i do without any tutorial, thats why I'm so pleased with the result..

I am also very pleased with my lights, it's the first really modeled headlight i've ever made. And i dont really think there's something wrong with them, except the material..

Edit: Sorry for beeing rude before, I'm getting quite bad reputation i beleve, but I was in a really bad mood, my girlfriend sort of broke up with me, so I was a little pissed of..

Once again, sorry!

i seriously just cant get, just cant fathom, why people make and complete an OFF-KEY car to the point when its doesnt loook anything it was mean to be why, why, why. how hard is it to look at an rx-8 in google and make it similar, i know were not perfect but **** what the heck is that, we all can alow and blueprint fault were u follow 1 print too much, fair enough that normal, now how the heck did u come up with that and why continue to make it, and what was the point ov makin it, u just waste ur time doin that, and u made such a lovly render ov it, i could cry, if itz wrong delete it and do it again, thats how u become a pro, im sorry but i cant stand to see completed off-key models, coz u have no excuse to make it like that

MagnumX, what is SO off-key except the headlight? I think the body kit it´s own, but he said it´s is second or third car he have done, did you walk right out in the 3D and made such beautiful models your self? encourage him instead so he don´t close the door to this lovley dimension

Maybe he don´t get the models right BUT he sure knows how the render them

So Gurki keep up the good work, and MagnumX I don´t really know what you have done BUT don´t go and look down on other people you may not be a good modeller as you think, It´s in the eyes of the consider

ok ok point taken, the reason y i was like that is because ive got the same carin my garage but its top secret ,lol, but still theres 2 ways to learning the hard or the soft way, many people like the softway in this forum, and i know some one that can put every single modeler to shame with his 1st!! 3d car and thats a garantee but nvm that it not what u do in d itz how u go about it that makes it good, so yes gurki is great but look at what ur doing and if itz wrong DELETE it and do it again ok, thats my point, over and out

The back sucked.. Dont know, but i think the back is allways the hardest to model..

MagnumX: Yes i know, but if I would delete it and do it again, it would take years to get the car done.. Thats what I did before, and thats why this is the first car ever that i feel finished with.. For now, mostly I'm just practicing (spelling?) my modeling, because if I get problems, witch I do, I dont know how to fix them.. Mostly it's some big bumps that i can't get rid of..

But yeah, I can wait with my postings until I am the worlds best modeler.

And btw, Johansson, thanks for what you wrote.. You got a point.. I'm kinda tired of modeling cars for now, mostly because people say that its a bad model and i should fix the unfixable problems..
Someone even complaind about the render.. He didn't say what was wrong with it, just that it sucked... Well I don't understand why he did say that.. I think this is one of my best renders ever.. Felt 'really good' when he said that. Why did'nt he say what could be better, instead of saying it sucked?.. I get really pissed of at these people..

Well anyway, thanks for all comments.. Think my wip-cars will remain unfinished for now..

Nice render! A few bumps and inaccuracies on the model but hey, it's far better than my first models  Just keep modelling (maybe another car?), read as many tutorials as you can, and you'll start to figure out how to sort out the problems. Well it worked for me at least...

Nobody's a pro right from the start so you really shouldn't get discouraged by bad feedback. I agree that it sucks when someone says only that for example a render is bad, but does'nt offer any advice to make it better, but that just one persons opinion.

Hope we'll see your work again on this forum...

Well ... your "point" dont work for everyone so you just have to respect the way that other people wants to model. Getting through and finish a project is important too. Wether your know someone that can model better than all of us is irrelevant, we want everyone to be respected here, skills are irrelevant.

Judge and comment models with encuraging words. A beginner or intermediate modeller's work cant possibly be all correct. So a few crits and suggestions might be in place and will probably make his next model better and one more step towards "perfection". "DELETE and do it right" is just arrogant.

We cant have an atmosphere here that scare people from posting. Trust me ... such an atmosphere will be delt with.

Thanks for the nice words, bjolletts.

Well, MagnumX has a point, delete and do it again, thats true.. But it is'nt that easy for all of us to do that, me for an example.. I have huge problems to get things look like i want. I try, and retry, but it looks bad anyway..

I only want constructive ( :?: ) critics, not bad critics.

Anyway, I've started on my new model, Ferrari Maranello.. I'm very pleased with it this far, but i know theres a lot of errors. But i dont want people to say what errors there are, because most of them I allready know. I just want them to say what I can do to fix them.. If I knew how to fix them, ofcourse I've allready done it. But if there is some errors that I already know about, that means that I dont know how to get it right, and thats the time when I need constructive critics ( :?: )
