F360 Modena [C4D]

Hello there !

My name is Alexandre, alias Daubermman, 17 years old from France and I'm a big fan of C4d . For my first WIP here, I present you my Modena, my latest car. I'm aware that it may have a lot of problems to fix.

So c&c please !

Welcome to the forum, model looks pretty nice, as you said a bit inacurate, most noticably the door mirrors
and the front bumper, once you fix it up it'll be quite nice.

Stop chasing the stars; just sit down and watch TV.

nice work i'm also a C4D freak

yeah it is a tad off in some areas what i noticed the most was the front bumper. Curious to know are ya gunna make the engine hood glass.
So you can see an engine be pretty cool

lonewolfe:
I think the scene is the sets are.

Radiosity: Stochatic
Strength: 50%
Accuracy: 70%
Diffuse Depth: 1
Stochastic Samples: 32

thats usaly what i use for these type of scenes. then add a simple white colour material.

Hi all, thanks for your comments.

LoneWolf2 -> For the render, it is stochastic of course with the same settings as Ixon said. And i used a LightDome, for the Global Illumination effect and a main light for the shadows.

Others -> For the front bumper, can you explain me what's wrong ? Because i've followed the blueprints. For the mirrors i will redo them.

Thanks again.
And of course : Sorry for my bad english ops:

Green area: has a bit of a slope not as sharpe as what you have.

Red area: it's a bit thicker and more rounded.

Cyan area: there has to be a tiny little lip pull it out a bit make a bit mroe rounded also.

Purple: needs to be a bit rounded in some of the area's.

those are the only problems I can see from the ref pic i got. but other then them small little bugs the model look very well done. Do post some wire frames of it on the next update

the blue area has a little less of a sharpe edges it slowly bends out words into the middel.

the red area is a bit more thicker then that. But it starting to turn out really well.

Overall it looks like a good start, but that front bumper seems to be causing a lot of trouble.
One thing that hasnt been mentioned is that the area for the license plate should only be indented on the top edge.
And as long as you make an effort to improve there is no shame.

Nope hehe, Well seems Ferraris are the worst on getting right , the designs seem so simple in person and on paper but when you start to try and duplicate the cuves the real Bi..err witch , in the Ferrari comes out hehe. Anyhow it looks pretty good so far, go on and model something else so you dont get tired of the car I see something but I'll tell you later.

Ok so let's get some new critics, maybe the bumper ?
I think the place of the license plate is wrong, but it was on the BP ...
Thanks for your comments !

In fact those renders are long : 1 hour each one, because I'm on a bad 1.8 Ghz Laptop with 256 mb of RAM and a standard video Card.
I'm waiting for my 2 x Xeon 2.8 ghz, 1 Go de Ram and Quadro FX 3400 256 mb !

...because it was on the blueprint.... bah stop trusting everything thats on blueprints If you dont think its right then go find a picture of the real deal and compare and contrast, and make changes if needed. So far it looks good to me
