hi, first post here, been staring at lots of models here for a while though
finally decided to put my latest car here, its the first one that actually looks good to me

renders are here:
http://users.skynet.be/reinhart/bmwz4/

didnt have many problems so far except the line on the side, i have NO idea how to do it
http://users.skynet.be/reinhart/bmwz...z4_30i_800.jpg
im polymodelling so i made a square there, extrude in and out and chamfer to get the circle, but if i chamfer the line i screw up the circle thing
same problem at the doorhandle (so i didnt chamfer the last edge), and at the fuel thing i didnt try yet

im going to redo the chairs and headlights, somehow i didnt really notice theyre no good

another thing are the textures for the lights, dunno where to get them

and are there any good HDR tutorials? when i put one on the background its like 4 very blurry pixels

Wow! This looks awesome. Great job on the interior, and the exterior looks
about 85% accurate to me, the main spots being those you allready
mentioned. Unfortunately I can't help with the chamfer problem, I'm not
a polymodeller.

So only suggestions are that you fully model the lights, give the brake calipers a material of their own, and texture the number (license) plate. That's about it really, this is really looking good!

thx seekerr & mikail

o.j. i have that picture already, i have nearly 200 pictures, so i know how its supposed to look i just dont know how to get it right
ill go get a wireframe then

edit:

heres the side: http://users.skynet.be/reinhart/bmwz4/sidecloseup.jpg
i chamfered the line now but had to make the circle (square in the wireframe) bigger, it overlaps the rest now (didnt render that yet) but thats really wrong so...

other wireframes -

the line doesnt go that far though like in your car, the circle is relatively smooth, but i cant see any better way anyway
