Mustang (custom) [First NonTutorial Car]

HI

I have been frenquenting this site a bit lately and finaly have found my inspration for my first car not using a tutorial I started working on My Custom Mustang a couple of weeks ago.

I am Working in Maya 6. i have absolutly no skills in rendering, lighting or texturing yet so any help would be greaty recived.

Anyway on to what i have done so far

work on sum Rims Today Thought i should show them off

i know they look like plastic but it took nearly 30min to render and as i said berfore i am no expert texture.

The modeling looks nice, but the hood on the mustang looks like it was stung by a bee in one spot. lol Try to flatten it out a bit.

123abc : How/where do you mean it looks like it was stung by a bee

G-Spec : Thanks have been trying to find a mustang i can take a hole swag of images of but none to be found not even at the car show last weekend.

Ur welcome, 2 people that live around me, and my one teacher, have a 2005 mustang, so if i can, ill take some more pictures for you.

And I cant believe that they did have the '05 mustang at the car shows by you, lol they had at least 10 in New York, all the different versions including Saleens new mustangs

After a system rebuild and lifes little issues i have managed to get a bit more done.
I have started the bumber for the third time now i think i finaly got it right.

Again C&C Are Required. :lol:

those pics are of cobra dont think thats what hes building....almost done with my cobra body ....looking good except the meshsmooth makes it loose the edgey look to car....

Well it will be custom (note the length of the wheel base) so I don’t mind using bits and pieces from different cars. i am planing on trying to incorprate parts of the older mustangs as well
currently it is Sub-d but as I have to go back to poly to continue modelling I have not bother yet to put in the harder edges. (if anyone has a better method please inform me {note I am using Maya 6})

Been Busy with RL and have not had much time but have rebuilt the bumber from scrach a number of time till i think i finaly have it right and have extended the side and have included the wheel for size testing. sorry i dont have clay renders computer crupted them.
