Ah, thank you very much g-spec, those will definately come in helpful. The thing that is really frustrating me on this right now is that: 1, I don't have a back view print(not a big problem, but they can help), 2, the prints that I have are for the convertable, and apparently they made different rear lights for the convertable and and coupe version. I'll get it going though, I'm going to try to make the coupe.
Edit: backgroundish render. ![]() Behold! The laziest man on earth! |

Very nice, but IMHO you could use less polies in few places ie. hood.

Yeah, I could get rid of a few of those polies, still not sure why I decided to put a few more rows in there. I started work on the rims/tire. I used boolean on the rim for the screw holes, for some reason it screwed it up so meshsmooth doesn't work right on it in some places. Glad I made a copy before I did it. I'm working on a displacement map for the tread right now(first time at that).

The tire looks way too round, and maybe try another displacement map.
The model itself looks great too, nothing to comment on ![]() (\_,/) (O.o) This is Bunny. (> <) Copy Bunny to your signature to help him achieve world domination. SMCars Moderator http://specs.tweak.to/14470 http://www.subzeuz.nl |

Fixed a few of those things you mentioned sub-zues, but the tire in this render is the old one(plus it has a different material and no displacement). I've been trying to get do a displacement map for the sidewall too, but I'm not having much luck with it. Anyone know how to do multiple displacements with vray? I also started on the brake disc and caliper, but it's not quite done yet. Here's a render where you can kind of see it. This one took and hour and 15 minutes :?

IMHO you shouldn't use displacement for the sidewall - use bumpmap instead - I was fighting with the same problem in my Porsche
. Your tire thread should be tiled more times, and the break disk is too small. Rest looks good, keep modeling ![]() |

Updates soon, I've been really busy with helping a friend out with his production. I started detailing some parts, and I got the handles done. Going to scale up the brake disc also, and then make the caliper. I used the aston martin vanquish prints that are here on the forums.
