Well, first real car using Rhino, and I like that software.
The bumper isnt stock, but not really tuned either. IMO the stock bumper is ugly.

Surfaces from Rhino come out REAL smooth... but I have to remake most surfaces 4-5 times to get the smoothness.

Damn that hood looks nice...perfect surface...

I did the Audi tt tutorial in Rhino but I'm really curious how you did your hood and the parts on the side. Tutorial maybe

Anyway keep up the work...I'll be following this thread closely

i see another problem... there's a car in there? where.. i only see the track and damn it's beautiful (without going into the f-word range to describe how much i love it... bloody awesome ).
anyway, ok it`s a beemer, nice model so far, but hey, imo all the new beemers are ugly, really. last beautiful one was the past 5-series, kinda like all the new ferraris suck. oh, ok, i'm digressing again.
the model looks real good, is that your first model in rhino? you said first *real* car, so that hints at other concepts or tests ...

anyway, how did you do the track? i've been going nuts trying to get a more or less realistic concrete-slab surface, using bump- and / or displacement mapping - no go. pointers would do, thanks.

Sitting there watching that powder-blue and orange 917 barreling down the Mulsanne and getting squirrelly
under braking was the exact moment when I stopped thinking Corvettes were the coolest cars on earth.

It's easy just to scream for tutorials .. but it takes rally long time to make them ... but fortunately some nice users have written about Rhino for us here:

Motivity's "Rhino Basics": http://www.smcars.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14541

And Rain_Knight's "Next Audi TT": http://www.smcars.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15217

EDIT: Ah .. touché Flash .. you really are quick as flash-lightning

Yeah, those wires look sexy, but don't expect to get anything looking like that without a tutorial, that's like expecting a perfect mesh from any poly program the first time. Rhino's harder than it looks, (i do use it a lot)though it is a really good program.

Maybe you should post up a real wire, maybe set it to 3 or something. Looks real nice though.
