Small update, been busy lately. I'll get started on the interior now.

To achoeve a similair effect with brazil(i now use v-ray) you need to stick Swirl onto the bump map and just play with it's
settings to get what you want, you have to set the reflection sample rate to 25, maybe less not sureand glossiness to 85 or so. Hope this helps.

Yes, you are wrong! It's only based on it, but it's different!
WOH: For my mind, you forgot the trunk door handle.
And can you tell me, how did you do those awesome lights (materials)?

I think, just he didn't manage to model standart BMW 1-series without any mistakes. That's why he had to rename the car.
Anyway, the materials are excellent.

This was bound to happen. When i started this model i said it was going to be realistic as possible A.K.A. it was going to be a
production vehicle, yet it still had to be a concept. The design is based on the 1 cause in my opion this is the most succseful
BMW design language for a family car. Secondly i clearly stated the dimensions, this car is much bigger, it's wheelbase
is bigger and the proportions are different. If i modeled the real car, it would have been a 1 series, much easier to model
a real car rather than a concept, you should no that, so i'll just assume your an ass. It's people like this that make me
wanna leave this forum, and find one where real design/concepts are appriciated.

Maybe you should put "concept" in the title, so people dont get confused.
Ya know.

lol leave this forum and your dead.
What makes you say the 1series was the most successful family car bmw has produced?? I would say the 325i sedan is one of the classiest yet practical and family friendly BMW's they have produced on scene in quite a while. That might be my american sizing and pricing standards and the fact they dont sell them over here though (damn america!) I re-read, now i see the "this is my opinion part" on your post ops:
As for the design/concept area, what crits are you looking for? Idea's/modeling crits/rendering crits/styling ideas/etc..
Im very up-to-date on Euro styling as i am a lover of finely crafted European cars, so let me know what your looking to get in response. Ill be happy to share my $.02 to increase or open new doors for your models styling.

There are people here who are willing to spend a good 10 minutes to pshop some ideas for you, well outnumbered by the pricks, but nonetheless still here ops:

Volkswagen.

to World's only hope: As you like. I don't mind if you call it L5. But im my eyes it looks like big bmw 1-series. No new details, just the shapes have been a bit canged. You could be more original, if you're making your own concept  Sorry, but that's my opinion

the car looks totaly realistic, maybe if you put it into realistic environment it would be even better... you should write tutorials about materials, like what does what in there, becouse there are none and everyone's hungry to make their own good materials u probably have a beast of a pc, so test renders can take you little time, while others take hours to make a test anyways good car, hope you write some tuts

Never really called it concept. More of a production feasible BMW that could be seen on public roads within a year. Thats not really a concept car far from it. you want to see a concept go look at the bugatti
flow and the citreon i made. **advertising** both are in the rendering forum.

WhtMK3Drvr: The i series is the best of the "new look" Bmws IMO, but i will agree that best of recent BMWs is the old 3 series. the new one is ugly. As well as can you imagine a 5or 3 series looking minivan. I can, but i don't want to look at it for very long.

any help/suggestions/comments is always aprreciated as long as it is constructive. not negative ranting. **maxxx**

Shorty: I don't have a beast but a little sissy of a cpu. it's not even mine but the schools. but i do have acsses to 3 of these cpu sometimes so that makes it quicker. I will see what i can do. currently working on vid tut on a car in rhino as well as finishing this car. as well a few other car projects at school.

Are all of these cars you are modeling now going to be added to your portfolio, or are you going to have a final that will make up your whole portfolio?? I think it would be cool to see an animation with all of the features pointed out. As for constructive criticism, ill post a little later when my girlfriends gone so i can spend some time looking things over

Not a fan of Vans or new BMW Design but it looks okay i guess. The rim material is just a bit dull, doesnt look too realistic. :? I heard that the BMW chef said you wont be seeing a 7-seater BMW in ages wich i hope is true. Its just not right to spoil a cars style and brand with boring, poopy and practical models.
