Re: Nearly finished dodge charger.
Outstanding.. the only crit I have is on the "black" version at the top of page2 your tire map is backwards (lettering is mirrored). Awesome job though in everything!

Incredible, awesome, mind-blowing and totally inspiring. No crits from me, even if there were I wouldn't mention them as your work is so amazing

Re: Nearly finished dodge charger.
Thanks guys!
Kmyers, well spotted on the backwards letters tyres thing, I've a feeling I've done that in other places too... garethgeezer, please, if you do spot anything to crit then I want to hear it, I'm certain that by now, you know this car as well as me! A small update, I have been using compositing in the latest renders, once you get your head round it, you can make all those tweaks that would mean re-rendering for ages, in the time it takes to move a slider in photoshop. the gif below shows all the layers building up then a few variations. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

LOL! Well, the only crits I have after looking at your model for a very long time are these (you may already have dealt with them knowing you!): Two things: 1- The rear fenders have a seperate painted trim piece at the end. They bolt on so there needs to be a line in the rear fender to reflect this, or make them as they would be (I've modelled the bits as individual pieces on mine). 2- The side marker 'lights' are actually reflectors (orange at the front, red at the back). I think this has been mentioned elsewhere so you know this is the case, but as they are reflectors they are designed to reflect the lights from headlights of cars that are approaching from the side, say at a junction, so therefore the lenses are vertical, not aligned with the bodywork. Here's a WIP render of mine (excuse the crap reflector material!) And that's it!! I'll keep looking but I don't expect to find anything else It's perfect even without these minor details. I love it to bits, please keep posting updates!!! |
