Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
here is the latest render, just what the whole bike looks like and seeing that I got sick of working on that blasted engine block I decided to start the air intake port and the whole steering/handle bars section of the bike, should be fun..

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
well I just started with the side wall, the bit with the pattern on it on the left, then I worked from there, its kinda hard to explain, I don't really know what you need to know, I can explain accurately how I modelled certain parts of it but with a complex mesh such as this there is a lot to do to make it, I have to say that I found it exremely to get done, definitely not an easy thing to model..and unfortunately the hardest part is still to come, the bottom part of the engine block/gearbox mechanism...
Let me know if I can help out more specivically Cheers for the comments Nova |

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
Hmmm i dont now how to start but as u can see in this pic! sorry if ur not ok for me to use it? but all the holes and things is that boolean thingy u are using and how u get all pipes and boxes to smooth together with everything or is it just cut out in mesh and extruded?

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
well as you can see from all my models I allways work with meshsmooth and a fully (or as much as possible) quad mesh, so most of the circular extrusions on this model where made by cutting around a cylinder and then exturding the edges to form the pipe, for some areas that were just too hard to model a cylinder I just made it a seperate element and moved it into place, the pattern on the side was fist cut with a single edge and then I chamfered it to make the horisontal and vertical bars, then I extruded them. The rounded sections of the bottom piece are fully modelled into the mesh, its all one flowing mesh, thats partly what made it so tricky. I will post a wire of this section if you want..

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
hmm got one question... when i cut with cut modifier it will create a snap line automaticly but when i click on next point he takes it away so when i cut a cirle out it is not attached to the object att all??? it waswnt like this in the beginnig1 so now i have to make lines after i have cut the hole out
grrrr |

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R
ok first update since I had a major problem with my project, but I won't bother you with the details because all is good again now...too tired to write much about the update..its pretty self evident I think...lol...and I will post some other renders showing some more detail latter
Hope you like what you see... ![]() Nova |
