Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

well I just started with the side wall, the bit with the pattern on it on the left, then I worked from there, its kinda hard to explain, I don't really know what you need to know, I can explain accurately how I modelled certain parts of it but with a complex mesh such as this there is a lot to do to make it, I have to say that I found it exremely to get done, definitely not an easy thing to model..and unfortunately the hardest part is still to come, the bottom part of the engine block/gearbox mechanism...

Let me know if I can help out more specivically

Cheers for the comments

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Hmmm i dont now how to start but as u can see in this pic! sorry if ur not ok for me to use it? but all the holes and things is that boolean thingy u are using and how u get all pipes and boxes to smooth together with everything or is it just cut out in mesh and extruded?

Re: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

well as you can see from all my models I allways work with meshsmooth and a fully (or as much as possible) quad mesh, so most of the circular extrusions on this model where made by cutting around a cylinder and then exturding the edges to form the pipe, for some areas that were just too hard to model a cylinder I just made it a seperate element and moved it into place, the pattern on the side was fist cut with a single edge and then I chamfered it to make the horisontal and vertical bars, then I extruded them. The rounded sections of the bottom piece are fully modelled into the mesh, its all one flowing mesh, thats partly what made it so tricky. I will post a wire of this section if you want..

Hope you like what you see...
