500sl

Here is a new wip i'm working on. Its my 3rd car, (maybe i'll finish this one) I'm trying to find my favorite way to model a car. Comments and critics are welcome, even though its only the hood.

Re: 500sl

Looks good, but you have a dent in the center of the whole hood. try to fix that.

Re: 500sl

the dent you are reffering too, is that the crease down the middle? I'm not quite sure how to fix that, i've used the symetry modifier in 3ds max, and used the weld vertices option, but its still there.

Iīll give you a tip, donīt weld it, if you have max 6 or later try symmetry and then apply turbosmooth and the dent is gone, donīt forgett to check the "isoline display"

Re: 500sl

sometimes when we modeling half the car and not all the car we have little inaccuracy .
my advice is after you mirror the whole hood , lower a little bit the vertex that combine the two parts until the dent is gone away .
clean and simple .

read , understand , wait , make it better
