Thanx Seiyuusha. Here's my first render test. I used the facing ratio technique, but then made my own shader a little different to your tutorial by splitting the base coat and clear coat with a layered shader, and then ramping everything! Also, I added a healthy dose of the 3D granite to just about everything to give a little shimmer on the specular. Didn't see your tire material before I rendered this, so I'll give that a try later. Let me know what you all think!

but the rendering is a bit too dark.... you could add some surface shaded-planes with color >1 for lighting, render with FG, instead of using lots of lights and caused lightyears of rendering. ![]() remember to set their render stats so that they're invisible. |
