Re: NURBS 350Z update (MAYA)

wow, thanx, dilbert !!!

masih bisa bahasa Indonesia ? hehehe

anyway... for my RXi's tires, i use a blinn.
black (0.02 will do), diffuse : 0.5 - 0.7
made it look blunt, with 0.08 reflectivity.

then set MR's blurred reflection. i use :
blurred reflect : 20
rays : 16

Re: NURBS 350Z update (MAYA)

Thanx Seiyuusha. Here's my first render test. I used the facing ratio technique, but then made my own shader a little different to your tutorial by splitting the base coat and clear coat with a layered shader, and then ramping everything! Also, I added a healthy dose of the 3D granite to just about everything to give a little shimmer on the specular. Didn't see your tire material before I rendered this, so I'll give that a try later. Let me know what you all think!

Sorry, here's a smaller res pic. I know how annoying it is to have to scroll to see an entire image

Re: NURBS 350Z update (paint render added)

cool !!!

but the rendering is a bit too dark.... you could add some surface shaded-planes with color >1 for lighting, render with FG, instead of using lots of lights and caused lightyears of rendering.
remember to set their render stats so that they're invisible.
