51 GMC Pickup

There is an interesting story that goes with this WIP. I am brand new to 3d modeling(2 Weeks). I wanted to model a 51 GMC pickup as a training exercise and because I am in the process of building an actual 51 GMC pickup. This is going to be a radical, highly modified street truck. I am starting by modeling a somewhat stock truck and then will modify the 3d image to match what I am building in real life. I will use this model as a blueprint for the actual truck.

Any comments or suggestions are highly welcomed as I have gotten to this point by reading alot of articles.

There is a lot of work yet to do on this truck and there is already a couple things I don't like the look of( Top cab corner)

Please excuse the low res render as this is only a test.

Tune down the illumination of the material, we can't see anything really..

Re: 51 GMC Pickup

Latest update, I still am having some trouble getting some of the areas smoothed out. If anyone has a link to a good tutorial on mesh smoothing I could sure use it.
