New Project started. CAT D11

Haven't been around here/anywhere for some time. I started to forget some of the basics of modeling and texture making that I use to know. So I started something small and easy. It might go into a game like GTA SA or something, but no immediate plans on that yet. Its just a simple Ambulance..

The front looks a little bit wierd.. The headlights and the grill.. But the rest looks nice.. can you show a wire?

The front I cheated a little bit, I didn't feel like making it from scratch so I retexted the front end of a 4x4evo truck. Its served its purpose I guess for a low poly ambulance.

cool job with the textures, but the guys about me have right, you must change the lowresolution texture of the front part of your car with better res image and whats the triangelscount?

I would, but its just more of a scenery object, so the lower texture size the better. Right now the back lights on the ambulance are 3d. I have found a good pic of one yet, so all together its 3000 polys, tires and all. Without the lights, its just 2250 polys..

3000 polies? not triangles? well i expected lower polycount, can you show us the wire?

Really 3000, is not that bad ... Got to remember that its got six tires that come in at 1300 polys (Yes, that can be reduded greatly. Just used what I had to use)... In the pic below, if you take away the 3d lights, which I want to do, it'll come in under a 1000 polys...

Ok, found a good enough pic to resize down where it didn't distort to badly on the small texture. Everything in the pic is 795 polys. Almost done what I want to do with this, so I am going to start making up some textures for some of my unfinished models..
