Re: toyota soarer

ah... that car is pretty rare sight at these forums.

its better to make Toyota version, since that american crappy Laxus version
haves some ugly exterior modification that ruins the looks of whole car

Re: toyota soarer

im not familiar with this car but it looks like you need to get some of the sharp edges out and smooth it. to do this take some of the polygons out. Look good start though.

Re: toyota soarer

apart from the obvious bumps I reckon the overall shape is excellent...just fix the bumps and you will have an awesome model.
Good choice of car too

Re: toyota soarer

Try removing the checker map from the refraction slot and see if that helps.

Re: toyota soarer

Looks good, but needs some adjustments...

Check out the pic I attached... the lines indicated in red are the parts that I think need to be looked at. The top line has too much of a crease, I don't think its that sharp, more smooth.. the middle line doesn't have enough of a crease, it needs a subtle, thin line from the door, then fading out about halfway down the bonnet.. and finally, the lower line down the side; on your model, it looks a bit like this:

In real life, it looks something like this:

Good luck.

Re: toyota soarer

to Linsen

i removed the checker map but the when i rendered the checker pattern disappeared completely. But after playing w/ the settings i think i got the mat'l the i wanted. thanx for the suggestion.

to Mystique7

thanx for spotting my errors and the suggestions. i wouldn't have notice them had you not told me. i tweaked the parts you told me and slightly enlarged the round lights at the front.

thanx for the c&c guys!

Re: toyota soarer

One thing making the front lights too dark could be that the glass casts a shadow on the reflector... to prevent this right click the glass, choose properties and turn "cast shadows" off Also the look of the lights would improve a lot if you'd use a selfmade bump map instead of the checker one

Re: toyota soarer

hello again!

i've been able to do a lot in my wip recently.* i changed the headlight material to vraymaterial to make it look like glass, i also made my own texture for it like -monster- said, i did the signal lights, sunroof, sidemirror and tweaked the front and side part.* i also did the tyres.* i got lots of questions though...

1) how come the reflections on my render looks weird? the left and right side each have different reflections.
2) how do i get rid of the black/darker part on the tyre?
3) how can i make the glass tinted? i don't know much yet about making materials and stuff. most of the materials i used are from the vraymat2.mat file.

thanks a lot in advance.*

Re: toyota soarer

coming along very nicely, like the renders. still see a few bumps here and there.
keep it up and you'll be happy you did.
