Ford Mustang (1965)

Hello, everybody! I´m here again, with my new w.i.p
(Sorry for my bad language, im learning to write better english!)
Its not good model because im still a newbie, but i want to post
it here so you can give me your comments... I dont know when i can post next updates, because im so slow with modelling... But im trying to finish this. I have something problems with my computer: Rendering is very slow, i mean that i need about 10 mins to render my scene with standard materials! I have only reflect/refract map and ray-traced shadows applied in 3d-Studio, and i think something is wrong with these rendering times..? :x My cpu is AMD Athlon xp2400 and 512mb 333mhz ddr-sdram.

Re: Ford Mustang (1965)

The line on the side needs to be sharper, the bonnet is wrong too at the very front (where you've got the creases), and you bumper needs some more work
But nice to see this car is being built!
Good luck!

Re: Ford Mustang (1965)

Thanks for comments! Yes, i realize these mistakes.... I have to rebuilt this area
behind the bumper. The line on the side is not completed, i have to do better
chamferings etc... Mustang is maybe too difficult model for "newbie", but i love this
car and i can see so much Skylines and Supras here, so i want to try something different...
What did you mean the bonnet is wrong? ( I dont know what means "bonnet", but i think
you mean hood? )

Re: Ford Mustang (1965)

Yeah, bonnet is english for hood (hood is american, or the other way around..)
That corner is curved correctly, seen from the top. But seen from this angle, it should look straight. The hood actually should be a little lower

http://bradbarnett.net/mustangs/time...vertibleTX.jpg - Curve: correct
http://forum.avtoindex.com/foto/data...helby_65_1.jpg - Height: incorrect

Re: Ford Mustang (1965)

Small updates... i´m trying to correct the bumper and the hood, those are little bit better now. I think i must learn to modell much faster, i mean because i need at least one month to finish this... Some modellers can build up one car in each week!! :?

Re: Ford Mustang (1965)

Don't worry about your speed I've got unfinished cars from 2 years ago, or even older
I like your progress! Just correct the middle of the hood at the grille, it's a bit pointy

BTW: I hope you're gonna model the Fastback, instead of that ugly one on your prints
