Re: Subaru, Import Tuning Contest

Getting a bit off topic but whattahell I have no updates anyways I just bought an airbrush years ago and learned how to paint with a little help from magazines and books, and finally got the hang of it... the paint on the bike was done very quickly because we built the whole bike (all the parts that are not original are made by hand by me and my buddy) and it was taking much longer than we thought due to some unexpected problems. From sanding the tank to the finishing layer of clear it took about a weeks free time to do, too bad I didn't have any more time...

Oh wait I do have something to show you... have been working on something different to get a change from just doing cars. Sorry, she's a bit shy, doesn't want you to see her without her hair and all naked but she promised to think about posing with my subaru

csyferrari: americans?* :?

lol The butt got screwed because I scaled her after I made a quick rig for her. Struggling with hair and and skin shader right now, I'll show the undeformed ass as well as the front of her when it's more finished*

Re: Subaru, Import Tuning Contest

just me or is her forehead big? no? Also, add some higher specularity to her skin, needs to shine bit more. And the bikini, is like skin tight around the breasts, but its like loose enough to curve back inwards underneath... kind of hard to explain, the cloth modifier or whatever it is needs more tension, its holding its shape too well too loosely. Lips need some colour too, hard to distinguish her mouth.*

Re: Subaru, Import Tuning Contest

Thanks for c&c guys, it's really helpful

The skirt is just like the one I have for reference, so it's going to stay that short I'm not satisfied with her face either, so that will definitely improve still... Skin is just a quick vray material with glossy reflections, I have been trying to create some sss material but couldn't quite get it look good Hmmm... cloth modifier? Maybe I should try it, the bikini is just modelled on top of the body... will see what can I do. Lips will be coloured as soon as I learn how to unwrap her and start making real maps for the materials. Also the missing eye lashes and eyebrows make her look a bit strange still. And I still have to learn how to adjust the envelopes on physique modifier to prevent deformation...

So, things to do:
-cloth modifier for the clothes? (all new stuff to me)
-eyelashes and eyebrows (I'm all ready on it)
-skin shader (trouble...)
-unwrapping and maps (think I can handle it)
-face lift (doing it now)

Anyways it's a nice change from all the car modelling...

Re: Subaru, Import Tuning Contest

The dents on her back (in your case on her ass) are much too far outwards
Those little dents are really nice, so when they are placed wrong it ruins the whole model
Oh, and she's cross-eyed But nice idea and model!
