Triumph Spitfire 1500 (first car)

Hi!
Following on from this thread http://www.smcars.net/forums/index.php?topic=18559.0, i've finally pulled my finger out and started to model my car. I did attempt the audi TT tutorial, but lost my work just after finishing the bonnet. Figured i'd got it sussed anyway so started my spit.
Please bear in mind i've never done anything like this before (model wise, i'm fairly apt at rendering), so all comments and crits appreciated, but please go easy on me.

I have a few questions too.
Can someone give me a pointer on making a better looking glass for the headlights? it has a chrome dome behind it, but still looks too dark.
My chrome is also not good enough but is on my list of things to do, along with the crappy edge on the bonnet, on the quarterlight window in the hood (soft top, not the bonnet for you americans ), and the rear wing isn't finished.
And also, how do i mirror the whole lot over? i can see the mirror modifier, but it doesn't seem to work correctly when i select everything.

Cheers in advance for any help

A bit weird mesh on some places, but it looks like a good start
Just change the lighting, it's hard to see anything

Re: Triumph Spitfire 1500 (first car)

With final gather, the lighting is much brighter, but just wanted to do some quick ones.

Cheers for your comments, the mesh on the rear wing has caused me loads of grief, especially at the top of the B post by the door, and the mesh around the front wheel arch was fine untill i put meshsmooth on it, then it created loads of imperfections. I've kind of sorted it just now, but all the poly's are all messed up i may be better starting the arch again.

How do i force mental ray to show the wireframe?
I cant suss out this flippin skylight, light dome thing either, when i put one in, i have to set the multiplier to about 500% before i can see anything. :? I'm using the IES sun at the moment with HDRI
