BMW E36 Compact

Back to modeling again after some long vacation :mrgreen: . This is another highpoly project, I'm still working on the Smart but I decided to try this one too.

Here's few renders, I hope you like it:

Oh my i'll be keeping my eye on this one. I've been planning on modeling the same car someday. May i suggest a stock m3 bodykit for the car yo spice things up a bit.

Re: BMW e36 Compact.

@NE: thanks mate , yeah you're ringht about the grille it's a bit messy in some areas that you can't see on the renders, I'll try to fix it. And really thanks for that set of ref. pics. I'm sick of the tuned ones that appear on google .

@o.j: Thanks man, yeah I wanted to model the M3 model but I haven't found convincing bp's of it. I'm also planning to make a slighly tuned version of it (just some rims and geman tunning style bodykit).

Re: BMW e36 Compact.

For bmw pics, you can better look at sites as bmwnation.com, bmwinfo.com, bmw.hlabs.spb.ru, and sites like dieselstation (although these don't have the older models, unfortunately..) But with google you can get some really nice stock pics too!
But then, you would need to filter out some words. For example "e36 -tuning".
Anyway, good luck

Re: BMW e36 Compact.

I just love that skirt
But you're missing a tiny edge on the top of it (bmwinfo.com) Nice though

Re: BMW e36 Compact.

@Bumari: Thanks man.

@Revelli: Some parts don't fit because I placed them quickly for renders .

@NE: Thanks, yeah you're right; I already fixed it.

A little update, the front bumper is almost done, I fixed the side skirt, and also worked on the back bumper (don't pay attention to the exhaust holes, I know there's only one, but I mirrored one of the halfs).

Here are some wires as Bumari requested, and some renders:

Re: BMW e36 Compact.

Lovely! 8o
But the sharp edge along the side of the car jumps at the door. Fix that and it'll be perfect

Re: BMW e36 Compact.

@NE: Oh yeah I saw that mistake too, now it's fixed but it's barely visible on the renders below.

@o.j: Uhmm, I like that side skirt, and that style of rims, but mine's will be something like the bbs on the photo but with black spokes, thanks for the pic.

Here's a little update:

Re: BMW e36 Compact.

@Revelli: Thanks man.

I made some BBS wheels for the customized version, but I couldn't resist to put them on the car :mrgreen: . They are just temporary, I'm gonna model stock rims for the stock version.
