Re: Opel Astra DTM lowpoly

hmm, you should play with smoothing groups while you are modelling because it helps spotting bumpiness and such.. because if you want to play with smoothing groups after you get everything done, you'll have lots of vertices to move around and not really efficient imho

Never settle for less...

Re: Opel Astra DTM lowpoly

Not nessecary, just use flatshade
Anyway, you've wasted quite some polies in - for example - the rearlight.. Why not cut them, and use them on the shape of the frontlight, backfender, etc.. This is just too lowpoly for my taste

Re: Opel Astra DTM lowpoly

52 minutes!!!! wtf

You must be killing yourself to get these renders.

You might want to get contacts in here, so they can help you out in renders, or do renders themselves for you.

As for the model, Their are too many sharp corners or very sharp edges that arent on the car (i know its low poly) Like other poeple have said, the front bumper needs work(sharp corner on extruded lips) Lights need to be a bit rounder, add some more polies(dont be afraid to use tris, but dont use to many of em ) And the car still needs seams.

GudLuck Buddy!
