Ford Cortina Mk6 GT

New project - Mk6 Cortina Cortinas were a UK Ford car built between the 1960's and 1980's, most were four-door saloons/sedans but the GT versions and also the basic models used a 2-door body. The Cortina got replaced by the Sierra which got replaced by the Mondeo. I started this by doing some sketches, made blueprints etc. I'm trying to create a sort of modern sports saloon, with a hint of the old car in there. Hope you like it!

Really nice. I just think you should make front longer a lower a window line. It'll make more agressive and not so massive

Re: Ford Cortina Mk6 GT

Pretty cool car overall , even thogh it loks a little like a caricature of a car, due to the very bulgy front fenders. But maybe the fov is deceiving a bit, they look less massive (=better) from the back. But, as you pointed out, it's all just a matter of taste.

Re: Ford Cortina Mk6 GT

Started on doing some decent renders (well, decent for me anyway!). I'm still working on the materials & render settings. The interior to needs to be added too, but I thought I'd post these images anyway.

Re: Ford Cortina Mk6 GT

Added a basic interior now. I think I'll leave it as it is as I've done what I wanted to do, which was to not only model a car but also design it from scratch. Thanks for all the C&C. I'll stick some other views on the 'rendering' pages and then go look for a new project
