Your model improved quite a bit But I think the roofscoop is a bit smooth

Re: Toyota GT-ONE

Welcome, good job on it ! Not a so-commonly-modelled-car, I think it's a good choice (the nose of this one, oh my god !)

Which "new way to model using blender" are you talking about ?

Re: Toyota GT-ONE

The roofscoop is the intake on top of the roof I think the transistion between that and the roof itself is a bit too smooth

Oh, yes, I definitively agree with you ! When you think you've worked well, just start again from scratch (same car or another one) !

By the way, are you working with polys or splines ?

Re: Toyota GT-ONE

Thanks for the reply. Again, really good work (just drived it in gran turismo 4 this afternoon, what a design ! much time spended looking a it rather than driving it )
I work this way too. After some months of practice, I think it's definitively the most productive way (unless I missed something with the "box modeling" strategy).
Have in mind to try the "spline cage" method for a future car, never seriously worked with splines in blender.

Re: Toyota GT-ONE

Nice improvements, I have some crits :

- Maybe you should post a wire without subsurf (even if it looks cool with optimal checked ).
- About the render, what do you used ? Try increase quality if yafray (it looks like you used "low", isn't it ?) or if it's blender AO, increase samples number.
- Decrease the lighting power for you scene : first render is surexposed !
One crit for the hood : edge is smooth in the upper part (the one near the wind shield) and not on the very front !

Keep it up with your good work on this beast, you'll make it !
