concept car MRX. (almsot done modelling...)

hmm... i knew i should of posted this car earlier back when I started it. I initially started this car back in february but then i stopped working on it
and then was working on and off with long monthly breaks. I almost finished the modelling (finally) but now I have a lot of texturing and lighting to work on.

I don't post often so I'm not sure is there a posting rule where I shouldn't fill up the entire thread with big images. so I'll just post up 2 and the rest
of the WIPs can be seen by clicking the links.

i think its cool, but few car probs... i think the lights are too small, and rear wheels are to close to end of car... otherwise really cool model

great detail..I think a slightly larger gap between the tire and the wheel arch would help.
Nice work!!

looks good , nice detail , only one thing i dont like , thats the back wheel arch at the top befor it goes to the boot lid , it just seems out of place the way it sticks out , it might look better if it was a smooth or a sharp line to the boot lid ....

SlimyStrike: how is the doors bothering you? I posted the wires as you have requested.

p4vlik.cz: it's a bit too late to change the headlights at this stage of my model. but I did make adjustments and streched the end of the
car longer a bit.. I didn't want to make the end too far from the rear wheel because I wanted to keep this car short (like a miata or MR2).

hartleym: the car is lowered so that's why there's not much space between the tire and wheel arches. the car was built for performance in stock form.
I did check the "mechanics" to make sure there is enough clearance room from the front arch to the tires when the front wheels turn side to side.

DrumBoPing: I don't know what you mean by "rough"* :?

aleg8r: I took your opinion and smoothed it out. well there is a subtle bump now. I like it like this. You can see updates in the wireframes pics.

Thanks for all the critiques and comments. keep them coming.*

Re: concept car MRX. (almsot done modelling...)

Cooll concept. Not crazy about the "dent" in the door, and the rear end is far too short for the rest of the car even though I understand your thoughts (just doesn't look right). Rear deck wing doesn't fit very well with the design either (IMO). But it's YOUR concept.

I get a major "late 90's mustang vibe" from the mid-section, while the nose and rear-end have a heavy import influence. Odd combination but it seems to be working for the most part. Can't wait to see final renders. Should be interesting.
