Laptop, own design, hope it's ok.

I've been working on this today and I think it looks nice, I'm gonna try to make it better and maybe do some animations. Hope you like it!

umm could use some more keys like 104 and a touch sensor mouse thing what ever they are. Also label the keys.

Re: Laptop, own design, hope it's ok.

I forgot to tell it's supposed to be futuristic, the key layout I mean. I added more keys and I' now gonna label them. New pics soon. Thanks for the replies.

Re: Laptop, own design, hope it's ok.

Sorry for the double post, here's another pic, the keys are now labeled, I made a little animation which puts the USB Cable in and the numbers part of the keyboard out, but the animation is not on the pic.

Pic 3:

EDIT: Damn, it's blurry...

EDIT: The cable out (OK, that's lame! ) and the numbers keyboard in.

Re: Laptop, own design, hope it's ok.

i think futuristic would involve smaller ketys, maybe macro keys(programmable) touchpad is in for sure, or touch screen, widescreen res, stuff like that, look at alienwares and voodoo pc laptops, those are sorta futuristic

I agree. Maybe some oldschool laptop would fit it better. But its okay modeling i guess.

Re: Laptop, own design, hope it's ok.

I was more thinking about buttons wich you could addapt to wish program you have installed

ie: you got 3ds max, you press a button that enables the keyboard to change it from letters and numbers to programs
You press the button for letters and numbers and they appear

Get it?

Ow yeah, try chamfering the sides of the labtop

I'm gonna redo the laptop, with (hopefully) a more futuristic theme.

Re: Laptop, own design, hope it's ok.

I would make it DVORAK, rather than ABC
DVORAK is invented to type as fast as possible (QWERTY to type as slow as possible), so that would be more a thing of the future

Re: Laptop, own design, hope it's ok.

And there are new keyboards out with no symbols on them... you just have to be uber leet. But yeah I agree with NightEye, you should lookup the dvorak layout.
