Thx everyone, as for the ref pic i tink im doing another year model, mine doesnt have those squares in frint....
As this is me first car i think its turning out ok, cant render anything in mental ray yet... so i put symmetry on and made a render, im not sattisfied however rim amterial turned out good .... just gonna finish headlights and doorhandel, then i think il call it finished, not much to do abbout it, very poly heavy in some places, lights got reeeeealy f ed up when using boolean, mesh with 2 smooth, after 2 more smooth = wow laggy, however here are some pics , BTW ithackson do u have a wip thread??

i was updating one thread on a bmw e90
http://www.smcars.net/forums/index.php?topic=19808.0
but as you can see if you check it out, my mesh was terrible , so i'm using tutorials and looking at wips for techniques. ill continue it later.

btw the scene looks a bit dark on those last renders.

Very nice! And yeah, the renders are a little bit dark. Could you make a render with the bluish gray color that's one of the stock colors of a TT?

Re: My firls car in max... Plz step in :)

Well, heres another bad render... Think il call this one finished, if i get some more rendering skills i think il post in the rendering forum, as for now i think i have learned quite alot fronm my mistakes , at least i think the body turned out ok... Will probably start a new car soon, got no ide of what, i would like a sporty car but still easy to model, maybe a porche 911 or if i can find Cayman blueprints il try that one. Check some more tuts and hopefully improve

I wouldn't model one of those if you want to go for easy
But good luck

This TT turned out OK, indeed

Re: My firls car in max... Plz step in :)

sportscar... hmm

ferrari: 355, 360
lambo: gallardo
mercedes: clk55 (amg version is sweet)
bmw: e30!!!! , lol but all bmw are nice, well almost all. (althought some are very tricky and difficult.)

---------getting harder------------
ferrari: f430
lambo: murcielago, diablo
mercedes: slk, slr

good luck,
remeber to try to model what you like and what you feel comfotable in achieving. If you know youwont be able to make some shapes on a car, look around for other people who have tried that car look at their wireframes, also post here so the community can help.

--sidenote
i learned that porsche needs alot of training to do , especially the newer ones, since they have very nie lines that meshsmooth will ruin unless you have enough edges, so controlling your mesh gets tricky.
