Trying my first attempt at a realistic car, any help please.

I'm having trouble smoothing the mesh, I think i need to add chamfers around the sharp corners?

Try to keep the polys evenly spaced on smooth surfaces like on the bumper... also you should try not to use triangles, they are really hard to get smooth...

look at more reference pic. your mesh looks too round

I'll try to find a way to fix that, but the fenders have a strange flare to them and I couldn't get it right without deleting vertexes.

I'll try to find some better ref pics too... the ones i have are too low res i think

Been insanely busy working the last week (read: 10 hours of sleep in 3 days) but I'm finally done so I got a little bit done on my model.

This is with a few quick chamfers and meshsmooth, a little frustrated with the goofy mesh and lots of problems with the bumper, I think I can fix that by fixing some strange polygons and welding vertices. Any help with technique and realism would be great!

keep having your wire as simple as possible, keep doing quads , everytime you chamfter check there are no triangles (weld them into quads), make your mesh without bumps even in unsmoothed stage and make car using more refpics then blueprints

anyway kinda nice start but keep making small parts looking good rather then quickly making all the car messy
