Re: not a car
there is WAY too much specular decay on the ground on the lower right hand of the ground, also the chairs need to be lit up more. it doesn't make sence, if there is soo much light coming through the windows and the chairs to be so dark. also that piller as you can see in the picture is more of a daul metal, like more grainy. And last thing i can notice which is kinda small. is the texture you used on the steps, they should not be going all the same way, they should be turning with each steps. I'm sorry if all this came out harsh. it wasn't ment to. Oh last thing as for the lighting, i have never used maya, so i don't know exacty how you would do this, but in softimage, we have something called "associative lighting" which tells what light can light up each things...that could help ya too

Thanks for your input, i had to turn in the project last night, this is what it looked like. It's a bit more lit around the chairs, but yeah the specular is still pretty harsh. And i was gettin pissed cause the renderer kept showing up with these large black spots, that i have never seen before, you can see them along the ceiling. They'd be in a different place each render. Just wierd assed artifacts. Thanks ya'lll, i've closed up shop on this one though. ![]() Hi |
