Enzo [blender]
No post for a long time, but still reading all topics here with attention. Bravo to all of you, really cool work and open minded discussion here !
No work on my Xsara for a long time (I sold the one I owned, that may explain :mrgreen , but started a couple of cars : in order of appearance in my head : f40, xsara, tt, velsatis, enzo, alfa gt and gallardo.
Here's the latest render of my Enzo. I will be very happy to hear any C&C from you, guys.
I just keep working with details (blinkers, side mirrors, brand logos, etc.) to add realism.

Re: Enzo [blender]
looks nice, i heard these are hard to model good job.
However i think you should look at how, IMO, you should fix it.
Add the yellow line to you model.
Smooth the areas as the yellow line shows.
regards
Andybuck

Re: Enzo [blender]
I agree, it looks really good
Except those areas. Keep it up, and try to beat ORB!

Re: Enzo [blender]
andybuck, thanks for your indications, working on it (and rebuilding the whole wing !). Yes it's touchy to model, but at first look, I only thought about doors and wings, the easiest parts
NE, thanks a lot for your words, having them coming from someone like you sounds cool to my ears ! I'll keep going (maybe my first finished project ?). But stop kidding when comparing my work to ORB's, too much lightyears between his skills and mine
revelli, thanks !
Auto! ..klídek, thanks too, give blender another try : some years of practice, and the interface begins to be intuitive !

Re: Enzo [blender]
lol, yep few years in blender and interface is intuitive and i can start modeling good
in max ive done that in few days .. since i am not modeing years, but few months and results are quite acceptable i can see that max is better cos i dont need years
anyway you work in blender damn good - keep it up

Re: Enzo [blender]
Worked on the remarks by andybuck, here's the result (first picture). Still wondering what you mean about the middle line to smooth (on the nose), but about the front wing, work done. I know, edges are too sharp, I will smooth them in next renders. In the same time, I remodelled the whole wing
Started the rim, not happy with what I've done so far. Probably will redo it tomorrow.
And still waiting for a render to complete ( a new rear view, different angle from the one posted below)
Auto! ..klídek, about max : I worked with it as a student a few years ago (2.5 and 3.0). Gived a little look to the 4.0, never since. In love with blender for years (almost as soon as I discovered max, I heard about blender). I just prefer blender for it being a Free Software (what we call in french Libre) and for being able to interact with the developers (when a bug is found or a feature is requested). But really no crits at all towards max !
EDIT : Long-time waited-for render is here ! New angle (I prefer this one) but about 03h00 for rendering

Re: Enzo [blender]
Hey, few more things need sorting, the nose cone needs to round off more like i said earlier.
Ref - http://www.dieselstation.com/wallpap...i-Enzo-006.jpg
The rear wheel arch needs to be round, the rear bit goes abit to straight.

Got a proposition for you and anyone else really. If your interested in ferraris and want to join in a (hopefully) huge project let me know by adding me on MSN messenger and ill talk bout it. I want to do a Past, Present, Future Ferrari project. Ill be doing the Ferrari F430 tuned by hamann.

Re: Enzo [blender]
I don't have much time this week (my wife doesn't want me to be in holidays with a computer but with her and our son ) as many of you.
Here's a little update of the front, coming with some tries about "grainy" metallic paint. I know colour is too much dark, will fix it later.
Andybuck, not interested by another ferrari for the time : still have my WIPs to complete first : alfa gt, gallardo, renault laguna, renault velsatis, tt, and maybe the xsara if I found some motivation Anyway thanks for the proposition ! For the rear wheel arch, I'll check it, it's maybe the perspective.
Even wondering if I'm not going to start a elise or exige. Reading too much on this car the last days (and playing gran turismo 4 also) !
PS : Like others, I do not support my topics to go 2nd page

Re: Enzo [blender]
Enzo, blender and myself, continued.
Some work on the rims (well, let's say about 20% completed for now).
Did the windshield, the rear and side windows, and rubber around them.
Improved paint material : lighter than now.
New scene setup in the two last renders, not yet satisfied with it : too cartoonish, isn't it ? Need to spend some time on it to get someting worthing it.
Comments and critics welcomed (I should say awaited )

Re: Enzo [blender]
Thanks for your replies, men !
come2me, no problem for me with french (of course...). Just, take care to what other people say ! For your crit on the bottom of the front light, it may be the render setup : have a look in the attached wire, you'll see that mesh is pretty simple there (I think )
And thanks for yours words ! For the scene, you said you like new renders : what do you think of the following render ? Based on advices given by NightEye in his dino thread, thanks to him again !
I was using a white background with a bowl. Just added a white plane, darken the sky (50% grey now), and move up the top of the bowl.
SWIPS, thanks a lot ! Nice to read nice comments from you after having seen your work : again, your murcie engine is ... eye-candy ! And too bad for you you don't own the car And too bad for me my PC can't handle enough polys to work on the engine (already swapping right now when rendering with sufficient mesh smooth)
Enzo is pretty fun to model, once you understood to spend some hours on refpic with a lense A lot of almost plane surfaces (first approximation, plane, second approximation, first order curves : almost done !)
As always, C&C awaited for my to improve my work and my skills ! Please don't hesitate to critic any flaw you'll see (mesh, materials, render, etc.)

Re: Enzo [blender]
I can see you choose a "hard car" to model as me... i don't have any crits because i know the difficulty to model with Blender...

Re: Enzo [blender]
max123, years of use have made Blender natural for me. So it isn't more difficult to work with blender for me than to use other software.
I know the interface may be hard for newcomers, but I think it may be the same for other software : e.g., max : (I used version 2.5 a couple of years ago, but it may have changed since) it's definitively not a tool to put in all hands.
For a new-comer to blender, let's give a look at blender interface tutorials (search in google these words).
About the car, here's a render from the back. C&C encouraged, again !
