Back Wit' A Bimmer

Hmm......I'm back after.... I dunno, a few months at least.* But who cares about that? Not me, on to the car!

BMW 3 Series E30, prints curtesey (sp?) of this site.* Yes, it's lowpoly.* 810 right now, excluding rims (which I plan to replace).* About the only part that I really don't like is the A-Pillar, 'cause it looks like .... you know, lol.* But this is the first thing I've modeled since the last time I was here, so I'm catching myself back up.* C&C of course welcome, being as how my model here isn't anywhere near as good as the other ones ya see around here.

it`s just a minor thing .. but I guess the BMW`s nick spells bEmmer but nothing important

Re: Back Wit' A Bimmer

I think the official word (according to Bimmer magazine) is that Bimmer is a BMW automobile, and Beamer is a motorcycle.

Re: Back Wit' A Bimmer

yes, bimmer= cars

dont know bout beamer=bike though

studying some picture refs of the car would help (as nighteye provided)

also the grill area can use a bit of touching up

**edit** beamer is infact, used for the bikes. hope that clarafies. honestly i preferr BMW, or just BM works too

Re: Back Wit' A Bimmer

Thanks for the comments and lively debate, lol. I'll try to post some updates to this thing later, bur right now I don't have the time. I've done a lot since those screenshots, but my internet computer fried itself and now I'm back to the net after 5 days or so (spent on my computer doing modeling and such). So I'll edit this later with some pics.

And may I ask what's wrong with the grille area? I know it's not perfect, but it seems close to me..

Re: Back Wit' A Bimmer

Great, so I plan to work on this and I get grounded again.* Gooooooooood parents are such a PITA.* Oh well.* Here's a couple of screenies to show what's new with it.* I guess I don't have to explain too much.* But feel free to point out things that I should fix and such.* Thanks. (Yes, BTW, it is custom. I liked the look better than stock.)
