'06 Mustang Concept

modeled for C2 rendered in 3ds Max 8 im still new to rendering so forgive me if theres anything ugly lol (like the chrome)

the HDRI is too shiny the model itself is a bit buggy so try to fix

HDRI as far as i know is high detail reflection image... someone correct me if i am wrong... but thats what i always thought it meant...

I confirm, High Dynamic Range Image (or Imaging, during the photoshot)

High dynamic refers to colour range it can deal with : much wider than common 24bits pictures (such as PNG or JPEG formats).
Have a look to http://www.openexr.com/samples.html for example (no ad inside, sorry by advance if you think it is).

For us, car modelers, HDRI often means "environnement picture around our model, to simulate a complete scene", because it's common that HDRI are taken with light probes (highly reflective metal sphere, like one bearing ball). Such a probe plays as a maxi fish-eye lens : seeing all scene in one cliché, from horizon to zenith, all around 360°. See http://debevec.org/Probes/ for example.
