Another project i started, this time i learnt alot of tricks along the way, aswell as taking it much slower on the modeling and putting more thought into what i was doing. I will finish this project, Theres still alot of details to go ( as you can see* :roll. Crits & Comments and suggestions please*

looks a bit like 80's Opel Kadets (lol, my grandpa used to own one of those opel.. a real monster at the time, 2 door, 5 speed manual) neways.. yeah.. lets c it finished

I added a few minor things, and also the guttering above the windows (thanks garethegeezer ), mostly just minor adjustments aswell as finishing the bottome edge of the panels with a smooth edge. I was planning on doing the doorhandle next, though i made an attempt earlier then rolled back because i hit some problems - When i try to cut the rectangle out for the door handle the area around it becomes pinched and mis-shaped. Does anyone have any tips for creating the door handle?

A little update on the wheels, some errors pointed out by my brother, there was no depth in it, Looks much better with the added curve that it needed*

i was wondering, is the car actually that high? looks like it was made to go over speed bumps at high speeds.. just wondering :roll:

lol yea, its that high on the blueprints, Im assuming thats why it was a popular rally car? (maybe that and because its light, and possibly a decent power:weight ratio?). But i will definately lower it when i get around to tuning it

Mmm experiments with mental ray, hdri lighting, and hdri environment.... mega awful, blotchy, pathetic shadows and teh ugly reflections :'(

On the plus side I have done some minor advances on the model... Next its time to mangle the door by attempting to slot a door handle in it :roll:

Does anyone know how i can get some nice puffy shadows that sit perfectly underneath the car and hide all the holes which you can see through?
