Re: Alfa Romeo GT [blender]
Very happy to see so much activity on my topic. Maybe it helps to show better work than previously ?
S W I P S, glad to read this from you. Thank you very much. About my skills, I feel too I learned a lot with previous projects and I feel now I can express this with the GT.
NightEye you can be glad ! I converted major parts of my models from "my move" to "your move" : result is polycount down from 235464 to 52087. You know what, I'm happy ! Rendering on the way to confirm the absence of loss, but preview seems OK (realtime in blender I mean)
rallydriver thanks for your comment.
KMyers-MG, thanks for you comment too, and for spotting errors. But I really don't see what do you mean about the bottom of the frontlights. I know the space between the light bottom and the bumper is very thin. Is it that you noticed ?
Next step : continue to modify edges on the model parts : still have the rim, the border of the bottom air-intakes and the chrome parts on the center air-intake to modify.
Next next step : tire :?

Re: Alfa Romeo GT [blender]
New clay render, using modified edges on the model. Bumps previously spotted were fixed before modifying edges, now some extra work needed to correct some again.
Please C&C.

Re: Alfa Romeo GT [blender]
The bottom of your headlight has just a tiny wobble. Drawn in this pic (note: those red lines are meant to be the bottom of the headlight, not some other edge on the bumper )

Re: Alfa Romeo GT [blender]
300zx_9, thanks ! The material I'm using is a hand-made variation on Blender default material (see attached pic for settings). Hope it will helps you (don't know if you don't use Blender ? I think settings can be used in other software)
Thanks NightEye and KMyers-MG for the explanation. I agree with you when looking closely at my mesh, but didn't notice it on the renders I posted.
Anyway, here's a render with new body parts, and bump-fixes.
C&C encouraged !

Re: Alfa Romeo GT [blender]
Thanks mpfive, much time spended on the tire, it could be great ! I could make a tutorial for the way I did it, didn't found one like it. Anyone interessed by it ?
About the model, I use a sketch named P6000. Anyone to confirm it's looking like this Pirelli ?
For the rim, I know extra work is needed. Even maybe a full redo, don't know yet.
Thanks Icetiger for the links, I looked everyone :
1, 2, 3, 14 : access denied
4 : arf, I don't call it a refpic, it's a render (but a cool one, nice cam angle) (but I already spotted one inaccuracy )
5, 6, 12 : I already got it, thanks anyways.
7,8,9,10,11 : oh yes, these ones are cooooooooooool ! I like the 11th one ! Not sure I'm going to model it
Thanks MARTS and NightEye, I like it too, that's why I did it

He, data loss one more time.
Here I repost most recent renders I got.
Please tell me what do you think, including YOU, the cool user that spotted me two problems about the back of the car (sorry I do not remember your nick)

I'd say the rearlight is too smooth
http://www.nxhack.tarumi.kobe.jp/alfa-GT.jpg
Other than that, I like it (don't know about that single exhaust in the refpic..)

OK for the rearlight, I will fix it.
For the single exhaust, I agree that every refpic I checked had only one. I will take of this later (simple mirroring at the moment)
Another question about the GT logo on the rear : some refpics show it on th left, some on the right. It seems to depend on the drive-side (left on right-drive, as UK cars, right on left-drive). Anyone to confirm it ?

don't know why the GT badge would be on different sides of the car, but it doesn't seem to depend on driver side. This is right hand drive but GT badge is on left:

That's exactly what I'm saying : on right hand drive, badge is on left. When left hand drive, badge seem to be on left.
