I'm not trying to make a supermodel here, guys ... in fact I deliberately modeled her face after someone I found on the internet. An unknown latin-british female who was in a picture driving around her car... In the future, I'd only like some peolpe to populate Motor City with.. no pun intended. I don't think you'll see too many supermodels per se from this project

plus in this scene I didn't want to distract too much from the environment and the weapon models, which are supposed to be the actual focus. She's mainly there to fire the gun. It'd be odd seeing it fire by itself after all.

Okay... Been working a bit recently on textures... one of which includes bullet hit particle textures... I still have quite a bit of other textures for weapons, but I'd like to keep working on the environments in the order they appear. So I haven't bothered with muzzle flashes or any of that jazz yet. But just updating with some pics of recent.

I also had a week or so of time where I was trying to get the computer to get back up and running, so that took quite a bit of time. Fortunately it seems that it was just the graphics card fan wasn't spinning fast enough, or at all, so it was getting into some odd blank-out sessions, plus the KVM switch kept messing up on me. Fortunately that's all done with now...

Here's a textured and greyscale render of a scene that's been involved in a bit of target practice. Notice, on the greyscale render, the bullet holes have been brightened up so you can see their detail a bit better...

And lastly, so you all can see a bit of a preview of my texturing going on... here's a two compilations of the majority of the textures I'm going to be used in my demo reel. Much more time has been spent gathering texture photographs around the city, so the amount of textures will likely double or triple from what you see right here. For example, I need so many more building textures, it's not even funny. Thankfully, I've got a nice catalogue of 5,373 photographs, taking up 12.9GB on my drive, and about 15 that aren't transfered yet. So building my textures should come somewhat easy.

Here's the texture compilations. Sorry for the watermark and funky perspective, and low size of them, but gotta keep people from stealing my textures (this isn't the only place these images were posted)

Enjoy!

Next project on my plate, is kicking out a couple of the buildings residing on Portland International Raceway. I can already think of two textures I need to create before this building is texture-able... but that's okay, since I have the photographs for them lol.

Portland International Raceway here I come!

Thanks seancatlin11...

small (very small) update... Here's a .IFL (image file list) flag I made... it's going to be flying kinda far from the track, so hopefully the lack of animation frames won't be too distracting.

Well, when composing the .gif 'render' of it, I just used .1 second frame delay. The beauty of .ifl files is that you can set the frame delay with them Currently it uses 4 frames for each image, which is a tad slower than the .gif file shows... But I might end up using 5 frames for each image. I just wish I had a digital video camera so I could actually get a 30 or 60 fps feed of it
